I got this too. It’s not spam. It directs you to request absentee ballot online at vote.elections.virginia.gov, which is a legit site.

I got a "Virginia Vote by Mail Application Form" yesterday in Alexandria City from CENTER FOR VOTER INFORMATION (3rd party, and data obtained from publicly available state voter files), pre-fiiled and highlighted in yellow without Party for 11/3/2020.

Theoretically. It’s this group. They’re supposed to be non-partisan but they lean left. They did include my republican husband on their mailing list, so who knows? Really rubbed me the wrong way though.
Also lean left and am very much in favor of making it easy for people to vote, and this also really rubbed me the wrong way.
Faux official mail fools some people and iparticularly this year, it really pisses me off.

Yup, my mom was convinced it was from the state until I showed her the return envelope and the fine print. Thankfully she hadn't mailed it yet, so we got online together and found the official online request form.

Same. I tossed it. This is worrisome.
I live in City of Fairfax and mine said to return to Fairfax County. I knew it was spam because I hadn’t requested my ballot yet.

It’s all over social media. Apparently Fairfax City is planning to properly redirect them to Fairfax County.
What bothered me is that mine came not with my legal name that I am registered to vote with, but the name I use on Facebook, which is basically my “First Maiden Last” names. That’s literally the only place I have my name like that. My legal name is “First Last”, no middle name. So apparently they didn’t use registered voter rolls. Instead it was some other data mining from Big Data. Yuck.

The Center for Voter Information mailed absentee ballot applications to Va. voters. The return mail addresses may be the wrong locality. I live in Fairfax County and the return address is Fairfax City. I am worried some people might never get their ballot because of this.
