It sounds like in-home daycare (maybe daycare period) is not for you. Ours (a center) bought a Halo disinfecting system that they run several times per week. Other than that, the children wear masks, teachers (including all office staff) wear masks, parents are not allowed inside the school for drop off or pick up, and screening questions and a temperature check are done at drop off.

We have applied for a preschool spot at a small preschool run out of a home. They have been reopened since July and our spot was to start in September. The space is really not large and there would be 8-10 four and five year olds in one 250 square foot room all day. I was hoping that the preschool would move more activities outside, perhaps even set up an outdoor classroom under a tent or something. The owner/manager said they do temperature checks and adults wear masks, and wipe things down each night, but that doesn't seem like a huge amount of protection, since it is likely going to be the kids transmitting disease to each other. Has your preschool/childcare moved more activities outside to reduce risk? Or done other things to lower exposure?
