If they move all games to non-MoCo fields, it should proceed, correct unless I’m missing something.

Well, VA allowed scrimmages, games, etc but cancelled every 3v3 tournament. So you never know. I feel like anything can get cancelled at any time without warning.

VIRGINIA didn't cancel anything.

I think I read Fairfax county canceled all high/med risk sports tournaments. No?

Where did you read that?

Looking more probable. Maybe 60/40 that it will happen?

The organizer sent out an update this evening. Tournament is still on. Games have been moved to Howard County to avoid the situation with MoCo. We’ll see if that holds up.

FYI-- There areplenty of restaurants open for take out in Olney for lunch in between games, and some have added outdoor distanced seating in a closed off area of the big parking lot by Harris Teeter.

Apparently, some guy got banned from a restaurant in Olney for not wearing a mask and for spitting.

That would do it for sure......

I can see Sept/Oct tournaments at Germantown Soccerplex moved to other states or counties too. A friend of mine told me that the Battlefield Blast tournament moved from Gettysburg, PA to Columbia, MD.

To my knowledge it has not been cancelled. I'm assuming they will try shift as many games as possible to Howard County; last year a bunch of games were played there (Covenant Park, Blandair Park, Troy Park, Howard Community College, and high school fields) and Howard doesn't have the restrictions that MoCo does. Not sure if there are enough fields in Howard, but doubt that as many distant teams will come so may work out OK.

Has it been canceled? Anyone hear any updates?
