Of our normals, 1 was day 5 and 2 were day 6. We sent 3 days 5s and 3 day 6s for testing.

For the PP not knowing what to do with your embryos, have you thought about embryo adoption? I know that's not for everyone, but it would be a huge gift to give to a family who couldn't conceive otherwise.

We have sent 4 blasts. 2 days 5 and 2 day 6. Thank you in advance

Ours took about 10 days, I think? We had nine in storage, one didn't survive the thaw, eight were tested and four came back normal. One is now a 2-year old. Three on ice. Don't know what to do with them.

I am not OP, but one of the above posters who had two normal of which only one made it. Are you not planning on having other children?

That 2-year old is our child #3. DS1 was conceived naturally, DD2 and DS3 came from that single cycle. As much as I hate the idea of disposing of normal embryos, we decided we don't want any more children.

Thanks for responding. Lucky you

38 at retrieval had 7 5 day blasts, 2 normals, both resulted in live births

I was 36 at retrieval. We had 7 “excellent” day 5 blasts. Results took exactly 2 weeks. Only 3 were normal, and only one of those 3 resulted in a successful pregnancy/birth.

I want to say it was a little under 2 weeks. Like 10 days. One round we had 2 blasts and 1 normal and next round 2 blasts and 2 normal (was not expecting that!). 1st normal is a 6 month old now.

Day 5

Your age is a significant factor in how many blasts will come back normal. At 39 I had 5 highly graded blasts all come back abnormal. If you’re older than 35 I think having 50% come back normal would be a good result.

It is impossible to say what percentage will be normal as it depends entirely on your egg quality, sperm quality and the protocol.

How long does it take for the results to come back. Our clinic was pretty adamant it would be 2 weeks. Also what percentage generally come back normal.

We have sent 4 blasts. 2 days 5 and 2 day 6. Thank you in advance
