I will have to check with the doctor. I don’t believe so? They did a uterus/Fallopian tube test, sperm analysis, and a variety of blood work plus checking egg reserves . I think the standard first tests

This is op. No I have not had them tested. The early ones were just like a period but the one at 7 weeks definitely had clots. But I forgot to mention ( more like trying to block from memory) that prior to the birth of my daughter I was pregnant. I had to terminate the pregnancy due to abnormal chromosnal problems. Dark time

It's most likely chromosomal abnormalities. Have you had the miscarriage material tested?

This is op. The way the doctor explained it , it is to increase the chances of a good quality egg. That is most likely the problem here.

Doctors didn't know what was wrong with me either. I stopped eating processed food, started eating weston price type of stuff. Then had 3 healthy kids on first attempt in late 30s.

It might be just bad luck. Early miscarriage is better than bad Maternit/CVS/amnio results later on in pregnancy. I had my second at 40 after a miscarriage and am currently pregnant with #3 at 44, conceived 14 days after a chemical pregnancy. Good luck!

I would start on supplements and do IVF with PGS testing if you are deadset on a second child and don’t want to waste time. You’ve prob just hit a patch of bad eggs. The docs are right that you’ll likely have good luck again at some point, but it could be another year or two.

I had three consecutive early miscarriages from 40-42. After the second miscarriage I tried Ivf, but it failed and we couldn’t afford to continue. Decided to keep trying on our own for a few more months before calling it quits. Got pregnant and DC is currently sleeping next to me. This is anecdotal but DH and I started taking some of the supplements listed in the book “It starts with the egg” those last few months and I also got acupuncture. Not sure if that’s what worked or not. Good luck to you.

I’m in a similar situation to you, easily conceived 1st child and I’m 32...3 early consecutive miscarriages, most test came back normal. We tried Progesterone and baby aspirin.

One recent test did just come back as a mild mutation mthfr so it might be a folic acid thing. Another doctor emphasized that environmental factors can be important.

The fertility doctor also said sometimes it’s just bad luck.

It’s pretty harmless to some doctors will just give it to you if you ask. You can also use an over-the-counter cream, but I’m unsure how effective that is.

Sgf actually measured my progesterone when I had tested positive for days early and they told my progesterone levels were fine. Can I still get a supplement in that case?

Anecdotally, progesterone supplementation in the luteal phase (after ovulation) can help some people. Your regular GYN may be able to help you with a prescription for that.

Background- I am 39. I have a three year old that was conceived easily. I had a chemical pregnancy before having her at 35.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant with our second for a year. We have no problem getting pregnant but cannot seem to keep it. I have had 3 miscarriages before 5 weeks ( I test early) and one at 7 weeks. 4 total in the past ten months.

I have gone to sgf for consultation. All my tests have come back normal including my husbands sperm. There is nothing specifically wrong beyond my age.

The doctor was optimistic I could have a baby somehow since I already have a child and my eggs reserves are good. She told us at this stage we can keep trying, do clomid or do Ivf. I’m confused what to do.

I don’t want to keep wasting time ( 40 is right around the corner). But I wonder if I missing anything else that could be causing this?
