Do most partners have similar levels of fitness? My sister is a workout junky and her husband doesn’t work out at all.
My DH and I are kind of the flipside of you. He works out nearly daily and I am not getting in what I want to, should, or need to. Was somewhat more balanced pre-pandemic. He craves working out more vs. it's a burden for me, hence where we've naturally landed - though both of us know it's important for our mental health.
