5'1. We use the Ikea Hemnes dresser (37 3/4 inches). Not sure what the total height is with a changing pad. It's a bit of a struggle but not bad. I always changed her diaper standing by her feet, but had to remember to grab a diaper out of the caddy by her head because I couldn't reach the full length of her and the changing pad at that height. But not that big of a deal.

She's 18 months and 25 lbs now and I change her on a pad on the floor because my back is screwed from carrying her around. I'm pretty sure I'd have to do this regardless of the height of the table, though.

I'm 5' also. We use an ikea kallax shelf (2x2 cube) with a changing pad on top. I'm not sure of the exact height but it's perfect for me. My wife is 5' 10" and doesn't seem to mind it either. We put some drawer inserts and the storage bin is perfect to hold lots of diapers/rags!

Think about getting a table where you are on the side of the baby, not at the end facing the feet. It’s fine when the baby is little to be by the feet, but a kicking toddler can take out your eye with his feet, especially if you are short and your eyes are closer to the table. I got a black eye and my SIL got a detached retina this way.

Short mom here-remember, it might be easy enough to lift an infant onto a taller table-but think ahead a year or two and lifting a wriggling toddler up!

I'd go with shorter, or no, table.

I used a table and still faced my baby... The table doesn't have to be placed so that only one side is available for changing. Agree they're not necessary, but not for this reason.

This is what I did. Put a towel on the floor to catch messes and used the floor. You only need it for less than a year and we had a small house.

I found a small desk from ikea. It was about kitchen table height. Added a pad and baskets to hold diapers, wipes, have sabi, diaper cream, etc. But we also used the basin from hospital to make a mini diaper station that was portable. That was great for when we weren’t near baby’s room and room sharing; just needed to keep an extra towel nearby for when not using changing pad.

I'm 5'0, and with my first, I used the changing pad on top of our pack-n-play. Not sure yet what I'm going to do this time, but that one was about 30" and perfect. The shorter one sounds ideal imo.

Never saw the need for one. Pad on the floor.

we mostly changed them on a waterproof pad on our bed/on the floor or in the pack n play changing area.

im 5'2 and its 32.5 inches high. it feels great. my husband is 6 feet and has never complained. This is a dresser in her room. everywhere else I change her on the floor.

I’m 5’1. Mine is 34” tall and 38” to the top of the changing pad. Mine feels pretty short? I never had any trouble using it. And I 100% changed all diapers there until they were potty trained. And dressed kids there.

I used an actual dresser and just put a pad on top. It’s much more versatile and then can transition to a dresser in their rooms. Also, regarding storage- I hung everything including onesies. I think I was able to find things better that way. I had one bin for pajamas. In the dresser I stored pants and socks and diapers. Babies didn’t really need much storage

Choosing between 2 changing tables- One is 33' and the other is 39'. The 33' is a 3-tiered dresser and the 39' has 4 tiers. We need a place for baby's stuff and the additional storage space of the taller dresser is a plus but am worried that it will be too high for me to use easily (I am 5'0). Moms under 5'3, do you know how high your changing table is and were you able to use it comfortably?
