No point. She and kids have to unmask to eat.

This is 100% for show. Don’t even bother.

this misses at least 70% of infections - probably more b/c it doesn't account for pre-symptomatic

Are YOU planning to wear a mask to protect HER? If not, then no. Don’t expect her to protect you, unless you protect her.

- nanny

Ps. I don’t wear a mask because I only go to and from work. I would quit if asked to wear a mask, while the family remained maskless. I’m in demand (former teacher) and would have no trouble finding a new job.

I'm trying to only have a single caregiver who is taking Covid precautions themselves, and make sure we offer enough hours that they don't feel a need to pursue any other jobs / side hustles. So even though they might go "home" at night, they're still basically "inside our bubble" and thus they don't need to mask up inside our house any more than my wife does (who needs to go into office ~2/3 of the time to perform her job).

We've had a nanny sine June and do not require mask. They are just part of our bubble. It's riskier, but wearing masks in our own home wasn't feasible for us.

Will you make your kid wear a mask all the time? I think you can only ask her to wear a mask if your kid will be wearing a mask. And how will you handle meals?

Same. Plus she works at our daughter’s school, so we had already been exposed to each other when schools closed, and will continue to be exposed to each other if in person school resumes (at a private that plans to open). She’s the only person we see without masks.

She has the potential to expose 4 families in our situation. Kids and nanny will be wearing a mask indoors. Masks can come off when they are outside. We are trying to create an outdoor learning setup so they can spend most of the day outside.

We do not but we shoot temps of everyone entering the home (including temps of family each day).

No. It's upsetting to the baby, so we've just focused on each taking distancing precautions in our personal lives.

Also, I don't think it's fair to ask her to do things we're not - and we're not interested in wearing a mask in our own home.

She does wear it when they go on walks.

Mine isn't. But she's been our nanny since March and is distancing as are we. I have a baby and a 4 year old. The baby is not a fan of adults in masks.

Mine does all the time. It’s her preference though as I mentioned it wasn’t necessary to do it for us. I do appreciate it and it encourages/ reminds my kids to wear theirs.

Mine isn’t . I’m not afraid of catching Covid

I’m nervous about someone spending all that time with my kid and not wearing a mask. What are your plans?
