Im not going to travel, but I’m doing all this anyway. So if I did travel, my life when I got back would be a quarantine anyway.

This makes sense. Wish it included counties in MD and VA outside the immdediate commuting area, too!

Just FYI, unless your relative is completely non-mobile, or has severely limited cognitive function, you probably won’t be allowed to go to the appointment with her at all.

This is OP. Mayor issued greater clarity since initial announcement. Here are the details:

The answer is likely no to all of the above, but come on, how is this even enforceable? It's so stupid. Take care of your relative and be extra cautious while traveling. Good luck!

I have a few questions and would love assistance if you know anything.

I need to drive to a state that will most likely be on the list of states that will now require a 14-day quarantine and pick up a relative who needs medical care here (not Covid related). I think we can quarantine for 14 days when we get back but does anyone know what the definition of quarantine is so that I can make an accurate assessment? Can I leave my house to walk the dog (and not go near anyone)? I also assume it means we need to do grocery delivery? Can I go to a doctor's appointment with my relative? I assume the relative can go to his doctor's appointment?
