DC Schools and the IAC conference just canceled the Fall season.

In DC schools are not allowed to have practices or games while we are in Phase 2. In another thread, it was noted that the metrics for DC to move to Phase 3 have changed and that it is highly unlikely DC will be Phase 3 anytime soon (and thus, no sports in schools).

Not sure the impact on youth leagues, but imagine it would be similar.

Bummer to me that soccer would be put into same category as indoor sports and football and wrestling. I just don't think that is a correct risk assessment.

Going to Whole Foods is high risk contact, so are elevators and Tysons mall. The difference between youth soccer and NCAA: distance between and people in stands (even if not much). I definitely think there will be a season within the year 2020, just will be different.

Acknowledging up front that nobody knows anything, and that the situation changes every 24 hours, I'm wondering what the impact of these two recent developments might be on the decision whether clubs will play this fall: 1) MoCo canceling fall and winter sports entirely; and 2) NCAA reclassifying soccer and listing it now as a "high risk contact sport". Apparently Virginia HS league has sent a letter around intimating that this reclassification likely means canceling the fall sports seasons there as well.
