I wish we could have temporary units. Our current situation with my parents living here and is needing to use our garage as an office space and dance space for daughter is difficult. Of course, our need for this space is short term. There isn’t a need to spend a couple hundred thousand on a house addition, but a temporary structure to serve as an in law suite and a small office/studio would be nice. We have considered trailers, RVs, tiny homes and even converted school busses (skoolies) to help with our space crunch.

Saw on The Annandale Blog that the county is taking comments from residents on changes to the zoning rules. A little confusing that accessory dwelling units in single family homes are now to be referred to as accessory living units. Work on this started under Sharon Bulova and I think the board will be voting on it soon. Meetings are happening this week and some will be available to stream.
