You're right, ignorance is bliss! Your snowflakes are far too dictate to be inconvenienced. A school should open just to teach them as the only pupils.

Noooo! Extend the summer break? Please don’t push this idea. Our kids have been home since March 13. Spring DL was a joke. My kids are bored. They are looking forward to school “returning” — they need routine, purpose, work, learning - even if it’s is lousy DL.

Were you working full time? And one child?


NP here, I work full time and my second grader did ok in the spring. I'm still not feeling good about DL in the fall. In the spring she had a fairly small class and existing relationships with the (excellent) teacher and with her classmates. We cannot home school because I need to work.

DP and same. I work part-time and that was from home. DH was also working from home. We did a little supplementing, but most of my rising 3rd grader's work was from her teachers. I have 3 kids, other 2 DCs are younger.

I would home school. Form a pod so they can get social interaction.

I would much rather schools sent homeschooling materials and helped parents learn to teach. And instead of computers provide textbooks. So glad libraries are open now

OP here. My older one will be in 2nd. Last spring was a struggle and he’s a good student. He can’t handle it on his own. Even said he doesn’t like working on the iPad. It was very frustrating for everyone. I can find him better activities without forcing this nonsense on him. They’re too young.
