Yes! As a tutor that is actually one of my options. Are you open to virtual tutoring? I can contact you if you’re interested. I’m a fourth grade math teacher.
in my head right now no, I want in person. This may change obviously given how much everything changes right now. Thank you for responding though.

I had 2 quotes from mcps teachers for zoom. One $60 and one $80/ hr. I passed as it was too expensive for me. We're doing outschool now private which is close to that but 30 min for $25 which time wise works better for my ds.

1/2 hour- $50
Hour $90

It actually takes a lot of prep to be a good tutor. So you’re not just paying for the time the teacher is working with your child.

OP here. I’m certified in elementary ed and early childhood in MD. I’m in my ninth year of teaching plus I’ve had a few years of teaching in private schools. Thanks for the responses.

Really? Wow. I pay my kid’s HS math tutor $80 but I didn’t think it would be the same rate for little kids.

It really depends on what the needs are. Tutoring a dyslexic early elementary kid to read using an certified OG tutor would definitely be that amount. Just having someone work with a k'er or first grader without dyslexia should be less.

This is what I have charged and been charged as a parent as well. The more experience you have, the higher the rate.

what experience do you have? is the $75-100/hr rate for tutoring 4-7 year old?

I teach kindergarten and first grade in a MD public school. I haven’t tutored in the past but I’ve had a few families ask me to do it this year (evenings/weekends). What do you pay the tutor who works with your 4-7 year old? Or for tutors for this age, what do you charge? Thanks!
