I see no problem with OP at all. This is no different from any other professional wanting to leverage their skills, experience, and education to get a better job. She doesn't feel comfortable returning to the classroom. People have been screaming all over DCUM for weeks at teachers "if you don't like it - quit!". Why would she not want to get top dollar for herself? Are you telling me "shameful" poster that in your life/job (assuming you have a job) are willing to take significantly less than what your skills, etc demand just to be "nice" or politically correct??

If you know anyone in any of those neighborhoods, you could ask them to put up a notice for you.

You could put up flyers, although that’s a lot of work and might be hit or miss.

Maybe some of the local hospital Human Resources departments are keeping track of daycare options for employees (including doctors)? I know that you are not daycare, but I could see a few doctors setting up a pod with you in charge.

I paid an AP English Composition teacher $90/hr for years to work with my child. She was fully booked after school in her local area and could pick and choose (mainly houses that were in the path of her commute). She is not allowed to tutor students at her school, but a friend and fellow English teacher in a neighboring cluster recommended her.

Honestly, just post on NextDoor in the Tenleytown, Chevychase, AUPark, Spring Valley and surrounding neighborhoods. You will have a ton of parents in a bidding war for you. There is also a Facebook group called Washington DC Area Homeschool/Playgroup Pods. Post there and you will also receive a high volume of responses

I'm another teacher, and I agree with this. Find a friend in the most affluent neighborhoods near where you want to work, and see if they will post your information on their neighborhood list.

Try an agency like White House Nannies or nationwide ones who have clients in this area.

An agency or put your resume and a cover letter on as many listserves as you can. Probably include a starting price so you can get the premium you want.
