what does your DH say? this is all moot if he agrees with you.

The second they're in a car, an ENCLOSED SPACE, they are sharing germs. DH is getting ALL the germs BIL picked up on the plane/train. Don't you understand that? Now DH is compromised and bringing that home to a wife and three kids!

This. Cars are actually really risky. As is eating out. No way.

And no I would not let him stay in the house. I would refuse. I would not even let him in to use the bathroom.

If you open the windows and get good airflow they’re not that risky. Especially if both parties are masked.

I do not want him staying at our house. I don’t want DH picking him up from the airport or train station, whichever he decides.

We have 3 kids and have not had anyone in our house. I don’t want my BIL to come stay with us. I don’t care if we pay for his hotel.

This is insane.

Nope. Your idea of paying for the hotel is great!

Discuss this with your DH. Yes, not unreasonable but then he’s not my brother. I’d actually let my brother stay at our house with all precautions.

BIL is moving from one hot spot to another hot spot. He will be flying and taking the train. He wants to crash in our house for a night or two. He also plans to move to the new hot spot and then fly to visit their mother.

I do not want him staying at our house. I don’t want DH picking him up from the airport or train station, whichever he decides.
