Do all the extras you can--shopping list, coffee, look for a bonus, the stupid sandwich, can-stacking, and TV clue games from the later seasons. From just the first 3, you could start off with $450. Then, hit the meat and dairy aisle (like everyone else). Farmer John hams, turkeys, mozzarella cheese blocks, salami. Then baby aisle for diapers, formula, and medicine if its there. Health and beauty for medicine, metamucil, compound W, etc. I think the hardware aisle may be close to that, so I would run there with the extra time for hoses, hammers, electrical, etc. Get that bonus over the finish line before the bell rings, but everything else just needs to be in your cart to count!
For the $5000 game, read them aloud and look for rhymes. Usually the first two rhyme, and then the third one is totally ridiculous.
