My biggest concern would be how she contracted COVID in the first place, back in April. Is she in a situation where she could contract it again (family members that are essential workers, etc.)? I think if there are other factors like this, with the limited data on how long antibodies protect us, I'd be concerned.

If she got it randomly at the grocery store, I'd just want to have a conversation about social distancing going forward.

Have her do a covid test for active infection. She can come back if it’s negative.

Be aware that new research is starting to emerge that antibodies don’t last long. OTOH, people with covid are most infectious just before they show symptoms (common with many, many diseases).

Has she had a Covid test recently?

+1. Although with this ever mutating virus, I would still ask her to keep masked when not with you or home and strict social distancing. We hope she’s immune but who knows?

We've been social distancing and quarantining like crazy since March. However, with both my husband and me trying to work from home, its just not sustainable to get any work done and take care of three small kids. I'm thinking about inviting our nanny to come back. She contracted COVID back in April and has been symptom free since May. Am I crazy to have her come back? My husband is immune compromised and his doctors have all said that if the nanny has been symptom free for at least 3 weeks, she's all clear and can't pass anything on to us. Part of me is saying that her antibodies make her safer around us than someone who's never had the virus. The other part of me is worrying about her re-infection possibilities. I'm torn, but going crazy with the pace of each weekday and need some help.
