I have never heard anyone say “a pant”.

NP: I've heard "a pant"/"this pant"/"that pant"

How about a scissor? People seem to want this to happen as well. I need a scissor.

NP. Even my second grader knows to say "I want scissors", not "a scissor"

Oh no, I hope you don't say "I need a pant in size 6." That's one of those things that just makes you sound like a dummy trying to be pretentious.

"Please ensure you are all wearing your masks" vs "Please ensure you are all wearing your mask". One sounds like you want everyone to share one giant mask.

No, OP.

The people who use mask as plural are dumb.

Masks is plural. "We request everyone wear a face mask" would be correct. "Shop our face mask" is ok, as long as there's only one type of mask on offer. Like when you hear people say "I need a pant in size 6" or "this boot has a 3 inch heel".

Don't forget your masks!

This has been bugging me for the past few months. I see the word "mask" being used as plural, as in "We request everyone wear face mask" or "Shop our face mask" (an ad I've seen here on DCUM.
Is that correct?
I thought that one person wears a face mask, and two people wear face masks?
