I would totally ignore her.

i would text her saying that you turned it over to the insurance company, and they should have already contacted her. you provided them with the pictures you took at the scene. Tell her to work through the insurance company for any future communications.

then block the number.

OP, I ended up asking my my insurance a question. Turns out they asked for one or two bits of info, I said I am not filing claim. They said too late you called. Adjuster calls other party who of course says I tapped car. She now wants to go through insurance. Great, so adjuster says i will come look or send me pic. She goes I buffed it out for $60 bucks. My insurance was like huh? So no pic of this to send me. Other party got mad and told my insurance I was not telling truth. Meanwhile all I said was lady said I tapped her but I don’t know if I did and I have zero damage and her truck is way larger so don’t understand how I have not a mark.

Honestly, I have no clue. My insurance asked for pics of where she said I tapped her which I sent. The vehicle tapped was an suv and my car was a regular small Japanese car.

I may pay her as she already has called me twice just to get rid of her. But part of me says why, mainly cause I went out to my wife’s 9 year old SUV and counted seven small scratches and scuffs from folks taping her, or dinging doors and no one ever paid for a nick or left a note. Kinda price you pay having a large SUV when always in parking lots. I know that should not relate but honestly I never thought to track down someone over a tiny parking lot smudge.

SCAM.

This happened to me in a parking lot once. I was backing out of a space in a very empty parking lot when suddenly this woman backed into me, leaving no mark on my car, however. I realized pretty quickly she was trying to scam me so I took pictures of her very dented old car and asked for her insurance information. I sent both to my insurance company who handled everything and was aware of parking lot scams like this. This first thing I'd do is just call your insurance company and give them a heads up that someone is trying to scam you. If this person really wanted her car repaired, it would cost a lot more than $50. Don't let her take advantage of you, OP! Good luck!

Give her 1/2 and tell her to file an insurance claim to that is not sufficient. I doubt she will.

If I gave it to her I would write on the check. I do not admit hitting you. I think you are scamming me. Just in case she later decides she has back issues from the "accident"

Backing out of spot and a bit distracted as Busy lot. As leaving lot a women approached said lightly bumped her car backing up. I did not feel it she came up to car window on foot as exiting lot. There is zero damage my car. She showed a small mark on car, no scratch, no dent looked like five minute buff job. Her car black and my car white. No paint marks.

She wants money, not much. $50 to $100 bucks. Let’s say she is telling truth. Is this petty. Now if I report to my insurance what would I even say I have no damage my car and I don’t recall hitting anyone. No police report, we exchanged insurance info. Only cause the lady claimed something. No argue at scene, no cops, just curious next steps.

Now weird part we spoke briefly and I said I may pay you if a small amount just to keep insurance out of it, but I don’t remember hitting you. Don’t want it on insurance. She then said but you did bump me, almost like she wants me to admit it.

She sent me small bill and now what? Part of me says pay, part of me is like this is fishy
