I can't believe we're even discussing this; you must like the guy a lot to still be in the picture, and if you're staying you need to accept him, Pooh and all.

I think Winnie the Pooh is cute and sweet. But I agree that it sounds like they lost a baby. Things in the wallet...... well, strange is one way to describe that. Very, very strange.

I LOVE Winnie-the-Pooh, the books by A. A. Milne.
They are full of gentle humor, and manage to hint at mature themes of loss and transition without losing any innocence or charm. Not many authors can do that.

It seems as though your boyfriend really likes WTP for himself. He's a "collectible" sort of person, meaning that if it wasn't WTP, it would be something else. Would you rather it was a sports team, or D&D, or something more testosterone-filled?

Anyway. I don't think this necessarily means he's pining after his former girlfriend.

If you really think it’s a shrine to her, then you two aren’t compatible. Even if he gets rid of the poohs, he’ll still have those feelings and they’ll manifest in other ways.

If he doesn’t have feelings for her, then the poohs shouldn’t be a big deal.

Winnie the Pooh is creepy AF. My high school English teacher was fixated on it and I couldn’t figure out why.

The man I'm dating was married prior to meeting me. He decided to leave her, but they maintained a friendship that I have found to be a little unnerving. (Example: They used to meet a few times a month for drinks, etc.) Their "thing" was Winnie the Pooh. I guess it had some meaning to them; I don't know the whole story, but it had some emotional attachment for the both of them. He keeps Winnie the Pooh stuff all around his house now, even though they've been separated for 3+ years and divorced for 1.

He has a Winnie the Pooh tiny picture taped into his wallet, a Winnie the Pooh key chain on the key ring by the door, a Winnie the Pooh plush on his entertainment center, a Winnie the Pooh wooden toy thing on his beside table. It's maddening to me. I don't know how to bring it up without sounding crazy... because it freaking IS.
