Half of NYC moved out. Schools are closed. Huge decrease in numbers using public transit. Tens of Thousands died. If everyone came back and lived their lives the numbers would go right back up.

NYC is burning down. Anyone who stays is crazy.

And they wouldn’t want you there.

I'm not so terribly worried about my son getting ill, although the recent reports that COVID can affect men's fertility (like measles can) do have me concerned.

I'm more concerned about the colleges being able to maintain functioning during a full blown pandemic. With housekeepers, dining hall employees, custodian services not able / unwilling to work (can't blame them). Kids on lockdown in their rooms.... that kind of thing.

Nearly 23,000 deaths to date despite the type of lockdown that many red states still reject. That’s supposed to be reassuring?

A lot can change in a month, but schools will probably need to finalize their decisions pretty soon.

Everything is uncertain OP. Cases are rising in 39 states.

There may well be nothing to to back to by this time next month.

Does anyone have a student supposedly headed back to college in CA, FL, SC, or TX or any of the other really out of control states?

Are they still planning to return to school?
