I wonder if the major public school systems being virtual decreases the risk to sending younger kids back to daycare/preschool? Just less exposure in the population generally. Won't need to worry about older kid picking up the virus at school and passing it on to the kids at younger sibling's daycare.

Our preschool is not at a school but has some facilities that are, and our director has said they’ve received no guidance or information from MCPS about whether they will be able to reopen their in-school facilities. I suspect preschools/daycares are way down the MCPS priority list right now.

Bethesda Reggio has its two buildings near B-CC High School back open accepting new families for the fall, ages 1-5 years old.

My preschool (Spring Valley Montessori Academy) is open with precautions in place.

Mine is open now. My neighbors will open with FT in person care in late August as planned (they run on an academic schedule).

Preschools are regulated differently than schools.

Now that the MCPS district has announced their plans to be mostly virtual this Fall, is there any hope that preschools in MoCo will open normally? I’m still waiting to hear from our Bethesda preschool regarding a reopening date. I’m getting worried that I should be looking into alternatives for care.
