I do it at my office. 20 class participants are in the room with me. 10 others are participating from other locations. I share my computer screen the people who are not in the room. They can hear me I can hear them. I teach everyone.

I hope it works as smoothly for teachers...but doubtful.

Hearing, sure.

How can you monitor engagement and behavior both places? I ask because teachers will be expected to do so.

Sometimes you are looking at your physical class and sometimes you are looking at people on the screen. Though I teach adults I still have to deal with engagement issues...less so behavior.

I don't think this matters since F2F school will get shut down after a couple of weeks of surging infections.

Like every college professor in colleges do. Videotape their classes.

Sweet! An 8 hour day would be heaven compared to the 10-12 hour days I normally put in teaching. Can I get it put in my contract that I am paid overtime if it takes more than 40 hours a week?

Wait, wait, wait. You normally have 6.5 hour work days. Usually minimum 2 periods of that day are paid lunch and a free period. So even after that, you need to work an additional 4-6 hours to do what exactly? Grading and lesson plans do not take a human 4-6 hours ever.single.day.

So the workload of the lecture part will be at least 2.5 times- 2 times vs. 5 times

DL can be taught by the same teacher who is also teaching a reduced sized in person class.

For math, there will always be home school kids doing compacted math as well, so that complicates the dynamic a little.

Otherwise, I don't know.

DD is in one of the two CES classes, at the normal time, the math/ELA teachers will teach the same lesson twice- for both CES classes, but with the possible 2021 plan: half students go to the classroom at a time and with some students may choose 100% DL, then the teachers need to teach 5 times?

Or there might be some inter-school CES class merger?

Or the students with different shifts/DL only may got different teachers even though they assignment to the same homeroom.
