+1. They really need this info for staff planning.

Which is why it is especially insane that DCPS hasn't even announced a plan yet, much less started giving people a choice on what option they would like for their children.

On the other hand, four weeks ago the country was headed in the right direction. Now, the state of Arizona alone has more covid cases than the entire European Union does in a given day.

Kinda fluid situation

For DCPS, we (teachers) were told that attendance for the day would be taken by students logging onto Canvas, so it isn't related to actually participating or doing the work. I imagine it would show up negatively on the report cards if your child never did any of the work or participated in any of the activities, but at least you wouldn't be dealing with the truancy CPS issues.

All parents should be prepared to make this decision, except for the schools that have already announced DL for everyone.

Instructional Model Options:

A. Full-time online instructional model. Virtual, interactive instruction will be provided five days a week with daily attendance requirements.

OR

B. Blended learning instructional model. Students would attend school two days a week with their assigned learning cohort and participate in virtual, interactive instruction three days a week. Cohort A will attend school in person on Mondays and Tuesdays and Cohort B will attend school in person on Thursdays and Fridays. All students will participate in virtual, interactive instruction on Wednesday. A student's immunization records must be up to date for them to participate in the Blended learning instructional model.

I haven't heard anything from my school. What are Appletree's instructional options?

Are other schools imposing a deadline in 3 days?
