This is a legit question. Why the stupid / unhelpful responses? ASA? McLean? PAC? Bump.

Take them out behind the field and shoot them. No one wants to take on that risk, so eliminate the problem. (Kidding obviously, but wouldn't be surprised for some posters to agree with this).

The club/team works with the local department of health. They tell you exactly what to do. Every situation is different.

With horror! With absolute panic! With abject fear! Which team? It may vary a tad. On one end of the extreme, McLean/Bethesda/Potomac. On the other end, other places.

The best thing for your family, your kids team and your kids class is that you catch covid now. Nothing lethal, just the good old fashion 2 week version with following weeks of lethargy and some irritating neurological issues for the coming months.

Then, and only then, will you take your potential impact on others more seriously.

Thanks, Karen! Have a lovely day.

Ours:
All practices for that team and any other teams with players, family members, or staff members who came into contact with that team will be suspended for a full 14 days and until medical clearance is received by the academy for all affected as per eligibility rules above

Wondering what other clubs are proposing.

Well, the infected player obviously needs at least one, perhaps two negative tests before rejoining the team.

It is likely that teammates will either need to stay away for 2 weeks or provide negative test results too before rejoining.

At the very least, getting a test for the player is a no brainer.

The coaches will also obviously need to get tested. If the coach/coaches train multiple teams could cause an obvious issue if the coach tests positive. If the coaches are sick, no practice for anyone.

Fair questions deserve considered responses, not trite posts referencing hiding under beds, pyre, and LOL. But I suppose nothing more can be expected of these types.

Our club has not given any guidance yet. I’ll inquire.

Our club has not addressed that but has spent pages about how to theoretically prevent the spread.

Have any of your clubs given you a guideline / roadmap of what they intend to do if there is a positive case on the team? A 14-day break? Asking for testing? Would you pull your kid for two weeks if there was a player that came down with covid?
