Fireworks on my cul de sac. Everyone social distanced and most wore masks.

Went to an outside concert. Seats were all about 8' apart in pods. It was 96 degrees. We would have declined but we know the conductor.

We've been invited to a few things. We've declined everything.

We went to a 4th of July gathering. Outside, maybe 15 people, pretty spread out. I was totally comfortable with that.

No. None of our friends is trying to do all this socializing that people seem to deem "safe enough" right now. I don't know how people are so very trusting about "we're in a quarantining pod with another family" etc. We are doing regular Zoom meetings and FaceTime etc. with friends and family. One set of friends dropped by unexpectedly, but knew how different that seems right now, and they stood by their car at the curb while we sat on our steps, the distance of the yard between us.

The same people who are socializing in block parties etc. are going to the store more often and as of this week can eat inside restaurants as well. (In NOVA) So cases are going to go up again. I wouldn't go to any in person parties right now no matter how much people claimed they'd "been careful."

We had two families that we're co-quarantining with over for the Fourth. Since then they have each invited us to one party - one a kid birthday with their family, us, and one other family; the other an adult birthday with their family, us, and another family. We're going to visit my elderly parents for the first time next weekend, so we declined those two events. If it wasn't for the upcoming visit, we would have accepted.

My daughter got invited to a party where the host said it would be the birthday girl, my daughter and one other girl and that they would do activities while social distancing. I agreed and there ended up being 8 kids total and about 12 adults. I was not happy at all. Thank goodness it was outside. We stayed for just a short period of time.

We also had a family over for Father's Day.

My husband and I have been working through the pandemic. I have daily close contact with adults and children, he's alone more often than not.

I have not. But have seen relatives post party pics where they seem to be trying to socially distance, until they mash together for photos : roll:

Yes. We went to an outside party and it was wonderful.

Yes probably 5 at this point between end of May and July 45th. The May one was definitely more social distanced though. No one has gotten sick. Granted our state has had low cases for the past 3 weeks or so.

Yes, if outdoor and small, < 10 people.

I went to a July 4 party in a culdesac < 20 people 5 in my household.

I went to a senior gathering 30 people outside in a large parking lot, then to a huge back yard. All outside 1/4 wore masks the whole time.

I went to a funeral, masks, socially distanced but not enough for me. Came home showered.

I sat on the beach with 7 people and drank wine.

No. I would decline.
I've seen my neighbors have very irresponsible, or very responsible, lawn gatherings, depending on the neighbor.
I just don't want to risk it. It only needs one idiot person to ruin it for everyone.

Not a drive by or camp. Just a month ago, my child got invited to a party backyard birthday party with a guest list of 3 and we declined. We have gone to a drive by party, google and zoom party. I would probably feel comfortable today for my child to attend a small outdoor party.
