When I was young and first made guacamole I thought it was made w sour cream but I hate mayo so I’d never do that.

I once read an essay where someone’s Mexican mom stretched the family’s guac with milk, but I haven’t heard of mayonnaise being used.

A Mexican woman I know gave me her recipe:

-avocado
-diced tomato
-red onion
-lime juice
-salt
-cilantro
-serrano chili, optional.

Super easy, and my guac is always a hit at parties. The mayo sounds disgusting. Good god.. way to ruin a guac.

My sister-in-law is bored and doing a lot of cooking during quarantine. Today, she said she was going to drop off a bowl of fresh guacamole. We were psyched!

During the conversation, she said "oh, I got Duke's mayo!" A couple weeks ago, we had a conversation about how we use Duke's mayo at my house and that Hellman's has sugar in it. Okay, cool.

Come to find out she puts mayonnaise in her guacamole. It's completely smooth, like humus. I googled it and it's all over the internet in recipes. I don't even want to taste it.
