I think the next one will be locally driven, right or wrong. I also think it will be very evident that states and locales shutting down will be on their own fiscally and economically. It is an impossible position for areas that want to shut down which are looking at an enormous budget shortfall already.

If college athletics with the financial and medical resources at their disposal can’t find a way to play safely it doesn’t bode well for high school sports either.

It is clear that college athletics will be impacted by COVID-19. There is so much going on that will impact current players and future recruiting classes. If schools postpone or cancel this season, sports will be in trouble.
