Bumping this. What is the latest with FCPS for fall?

So is the assumption that a specific teacher will only be in an in-person classroom 2 times a week and will do distance learning the rest of the week?
Or are they expected to do in-person M,T, R, F and if so, who is doing the virtual teaching?

I think parents will want their kids on the same schedules. Maybe individual teachers can tinker if the classes are way off. Asking for volunteers to switch..

That’s an excellent point. The better way is just to assign the days not based on last names.

Good point. I don’t know how they would evenly distribute the kids. I do like that this would mean my 2nd and 4th graders would be there on the same day.

“Enhanced cleaning is triggered when an employee or student is identified as positive for COVID-19 based on testing. Enhanced cleaning will be performed as soon as a positive test results is confirmed.“

What happens when a teacher or another with probably coronavirus (classic symptoms) has been present in the building all day (say a Friday), but test results can not be obtained until maybe the following Thursday? Are children and substitutes sent into the classroom without any enhanced cleaning?

The way I understood is that they will follow the state guidelines on what Phase to implement. I could be wrong though.

Thank you for this. So it looks like as long as MD is in Phase II, there will be a combination of DL and in-class learning, but we won't know for sure until the end of July or early August.

If yes, do we know what they plan to do in the fall?
