I worked 12 hours. DW went swimming in the afternoon with DD at a friends pool. We had dinner now I’m sitting on the deck drinking wine contemplating giving my dogs melatonin. Last night was rough. Both dogs panting and paving at 11pm 2am and 4am due to fireworks. I know tonight will be worse.

We've never celebrated this holiday. It's just another weekend day.

Met up in the park for a picnic with 3 other families. We all brought our food and sat distantly on folding chairs. We were under a big tree and it was very pleasant.

Who else kept to their nuclear family? We decorated our bikes for the 4th, went on a family bike ride, had some BBQ and a water balloon toss. It was not a usual fourth but we had fun.
