I hope so. My kid with ADHD does not learn well at all with the 100% distance learning. I think they can keep things "safer" with half the students in school each day. I know none of it is ideal in any way, shape, or form. It all sucks.

Given their utter lack of planning prior to neighboring schools systems announcing that they're offering some F2F learning, I think that's what they secretly were pinning their hopes on. But the pressure to open is increasing, and now they have far less time to figure it out. But my sources in central say they haven't a clue what's going to happen, so that teacher is out of date.

There was a paper they (Maryland) put out that had Jan 2021 as return to school date than they said it was a printing error? Typo? I have been thinking it would be that date since that appeared. The date was recalled but really...

I mean, anything is possible when you lie.

I don't think mcps will have full time f2f-they have made that quite clear but they have already made it known that there are basically two options: f2f 2 days a week or 100% DL.

But only offering 100 distance learning will pretty much ensure an uproar. They need to compromise somewhere.

I don’t think it’s subterfuge. It might be process for the sake of process but that’s different. I think the real point of it is to demonstrate that there are parents who want each option so you can’t come along to this thread in a week and say “everyone wanted in person learning and they ignored us”

OP here. I really haven't been following this issue much. My kids are in private. I just found her level of confidence quite stunning.
