It can’t be full time in the classroom. They are trying to plan staggered schedules of some sort where most schools would have 3-4 groups of kids to get the.m number low enough to be safe in the classroom. They are not planning to put 34 kids in a room together as usual. They have said no eating in the cafeteria; no large gatherings. Most rooms can hold about ten “safely” (info that was shared with me directly from my school).

I think it will be a hybrid model at most public schools in the area. Our Westchester district just sent email yesterday that the most likely scenario is hybrid and they can only have 33% of kids in at a given time. So will be very limited in person instruction.

Yes or no? I think a hybrid model is most likely but eventually it will fall apart as some parents will feel their child is not getting the same experiences as classmates who may be choosing to actually sit in classrooms.
