I liked the name Haley at some point when we got married. I dropped that one quickly, though.

I first heard the name Kayla in 1979 and thought it was the most beautiful name I had ever heard. I may have named my baby that in 1987 but i had a boy. Thank god. Waaaay too many incarnations, including all Kaylee's mentioned up thread. I had a girl in 1997 and went with the more traditional Elizabeth to honor my paternal grandmother. I had another boy in 2007 and went with a traditional name.

I think i still like Kayla but only in the 1979 context.

For some reason I LOVED Alexis and Kaylee when I was in college. That was late 90s, so right when those names were really getting popular. (Even worse, around that time I met someone who named their kid “Elexis” and thought that was the coolest, most unique thing ever.) Like you, I also wonder 20+ years later what I was thinking! I don’t like those names at ALL anymore.

I LOVED the name Piper. Loved it. When I was PG with my first DH immediately said no way. Funny now almost 15 years later I hear that name and am like "what the heck was I thinking"? Our neighbor has a Piper and calls her "Pipe" and I just can't hear it without rolling my eyes.
