You sound boring! Get a life!! Go skateboarding, or get a girlfriend, go for walks, get ice cream, listen to music, play a sport. This is not the time for you to be counting your money. Enjoy your freedom and the world around you. Plenty of time for bean counting.

Your current situation is trolling a parenting site. At least you're not surfing porn sites!

You don't have that kind of cash at 13 unless your parents are funneling it into your accounts, or you're an extremely talented baby drug dealer.

Troll better.

My teen made $10k+ reselling in the last few months. One of his friends started day trading with his reselling income, and that kid has upwards of $100k now. Don’t underestimate kids.

Log off of DCUM, quit mowing lawns, and go volunteer in your community instead. Work at a food bank. Join Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Gain some life experience, wisdom, and empathy. That will serve you better in the future than continuing to mow lawns.

Ok

I invented a software package when I was 9 that was sold for a lot of money. My parents gave me a portion of it to see how responsible I'd be with it. Haven't spent a dime.

So mowing and software. Assuming your parents gave you a very small % of what you earned and invested the rest for you. You should be well diversified already. Spend some of your money and take them out to dinner.

Sound like a typical DCUM mooching off the family money. Nothing to see here

You need to gain more life experience and a less narrow view of work.

Also stop trolling.

If you’re 13 and thinking like this, I suppose you should follow the likes of Elon Musk and other geniuses. Definitely not folks on DCUM.

I don't believe any of it but if 1% of what you said is true and you are really 13 there is no valid excuse in the world for you spending one minute on DCUM. So my advice is go mow a lawn.

Age: 13 years old

Checking: $68k
Savings: $191k
Debt: $0
Income: lawn mowing business = $300 per mo.
Future student loan debt: $0 (inheritance from grandpa)
Rent/mortgage: $0 (mom's house)

I can't invest in the stock market yet, but I'm socking away my savings from my lawn mowing business to invest 90% of it in well diversified funds once I hit 18. What else do I need to do? I plan on studying quantum programming and statistics, because I believe quantum computing and data science are the future. I don't want a crappy low paying job.
