Your child just needs to make sure to participate in class the same way he/she would do in school and it will shine through. Your child's 1st grade teacher already rated your child, so if your child's teacher though he/she was gifted, it is already noted in their file.
If it is something you are worried about, make sure you send a message to your child's AART after school starts to make sure your child is on their radar and they can evaluate her/him properly.

FCPS will either figure out a way to administer the Cogat or will choose a different test or admission criteria. If your DC is gifted, then the academics of 2nd grade pale in comparison to the need for social learning.
Send him to school.

I would think they would have to figure that out, to provide equitable services.

OP here. Just answer if you know information. Remember this, everyone has their own choices and up to this point, each choice has pros and cons. The 2 days one still has some disadvantages such as kids have to have asynchronous learning for other three days, parents' work schedule conflicts, health concerns... With that being said, I am collecting information before making an important decision for my kids, so I dont need garbage!
