Thank you for your reply. I understand that I should have mailed it but for various reasons did not do so in time. I believe that I can bring the ballot to turn in and vote in person instead. Or is there an office or box somewhere that I could drop it off? I should have mailed it four or five days ago, if I wanted to mail it. I'll know for next time. Yes, you can bring your absentee ballot to the polling place on election day, turn it in as "spoiled" and then vote in person. You cannot drop off an absentee ballot in person, like in a drop box, in Fairfax County (there are other jurisdictions where you can).
But it looks like they can issue you a replacement ballot Monday as well as Tuesday so maybe call them and ask:
