Bloom patient here, yes, that was my impression as well. The doctors convene to talk about potential patients and look at the roster, then decide. I don't think it's them all sitting around choosing based on other factors.

Most OB’s have generally have that. I specifically asked if that was what they were looking at and was told it’s a “comprehensive look at me as patient.” Like what is that supposed to mean? They also told me on our phone call in the first 30 seconds that there’s a fee and that “may deter me”. Again, excuse me? Do I sound poor on the phone? Really really bad etiquette and a horrible experience for someone new to the area just trying to find a doctor who could deliver my baby. OB care shouldn’t be treated as a private country club in this country.

I went to Bloom ... I knew someone who went there and I mentioned their name as a referral. I am not sure if that helped, or they just happened to have space for me, but thought I'd share!

I had the same experience. They didn’t even call me, I had to call back to find out I’d been rejected. Really put a bad taste in my mouth the way the whole thing was handled and would never consider going there after that.

Hi! I asked for a friend while I was there the other day, and the nurse said that there is still a waiting list for OB patients but the practice is taking new gyn patients. A new OB did just start so not sure if that will change.

I switched to Bloom at my 16 wk apt and couldn't be happier. It's a small practice so I guess they have to be careful how many patients they take on. I think it's definitely worth trying to get apt.

I feel the same at CWC. I had a successful, uneventful pregnancy and with them for my 1st. I'm now pregnant with my second plan to stick it out at CWC so that I don't have to move practices at this point. I considered Reiter Hill but heard the same kind of feedback from a friend who goes there. I haven't looked at Bloom.

I’m also with dr bridges and think it’s just hard to replace him bc he is one of a kind. I don’t know if any other dr who spends that much time and is that thorough? I did end up having 2 of my babies delivered by CWC and think it is hit or miss. I’m going to switch to CWC for ease of records and then if I hate it switch to a different solo practitioner.

I know there have been threads in the past about these practices, but am curious what people's experiences at Bloom or CWC have been. I was with Dr Bridges for the last three years, whom I loved, but he is retiring.

When I was pregnant a few months ago (ended in miscarriage), I went to CWC and had mixed feelings. Now that I'm pregnant again, I'm considering whether I should switch to another practice. I'm inclined to stay at CWC just because my records are there and I didn't have any bad experiences, per se. But the environment felt cold and rushed. With Dr Bridges, I felt like he really cared about me and I totally trusted him—but at CWC, I feel like I'm being processed along.
