This is not true IMO. Lap swim isn’t the only form of exercise and exercise is allowed in VA phase 2.

I think the pp was just stating what her pool is doing. It isn’t her opinion.

We are in phase 2 which I believe is exercising in the pool. Ours seems to say you have to be moving but it can be swimming laps, pool walking / running, kick boards, noodles etc. We can have up to 3 people per lane so I can be a lane with my daughter who can’t swim all that well and we can do stuff together.

No, ours is not. They’re giving a swim test to all children under 12 who show up for lap swim.

We are in Phase 2. We are hoping free swim is allowed in Phase 3.

Phase two allows for more general “exercise and instruction.” Several pools I know (not mine) have interpreted this to mean parents can teach swimming skills to their children. It’s less restrictive than phase 1.

Our pool is not open at all. Count yourself lucky.

Phase 2 started 6/12, didn’t it?

Our pool opened 2 “lanes” in the shallow end for families to work with learning swimmers for phase 2.

It did. Our pool isn’t moving to phase 2 until this coming weekend because it needed a few extra days to finalize plans and get a signup together.

Do you have to make a reservation? How are they limiting crowds?

We are now in Phase 2.

Has anyone’s pool updated their plans for phase 2?

We are in Phase 2. We are hoping free swim is allowed in Phase 3.

Our pool is opening but lap swim only. I was hoping our pool would allow families to reserve a lane at a time. In Delaware, we know a place that was limiting capacity and you have to make a reservation for 2 hours. I saw some out of state resorts giving you a choice of time slot to reserve pool time and chairs.

How is your local swim club or country club handling?
