I’ve seen pools in front yards in Bethesda but they’ve been on larger lots and have a 6 foot tall fence around the entire yard including the front.

No way in front yard. Tacky.

You can’t have fences above a certain height in your front yard. You can’t have fences below 4ft around a pool. Safety issues and privacy issues. There may also be requirements with having it at least 10 ft from the street.

Not sure for MoCo, but in most jurisdictions you are not allowed to install a pool in your front yard.

I don’t care about how it looks, but how safe it is. You don’t want a kid drowning in your pool, so you need a high, sturdy pool-specific fence!

In the FRONT yard? As in, within full view of all your neighbors? But... why?

You would never get permission from the town or county without a fence. And even then the pool has to be a certain distance from the perimeter.

I think that would look really bad in a front yard. Unless your lot is huge and has trees shading the street from the house?
But on a typical suburban lot, that would look bad.

In MoCo, could something like the pic below be installed in the front yard? Would that mean the revamping of the fence? Or would it need to go in the back (which would be unfeasible in the context I am considering)?
