I hate them so no. You never point any gun at any living thing.

But you do you.

Tamir Rice had an air soft gun that he had taken the orange tip off of. Obviously still doesn’t mean he shoot of been shot, but you can’t compare that to a plastic lime green squirt gun.

Yep, these are similar to the ones I just purchased. My 8yo loves them for the backyard--soaks the dog with it. Loves squirting herself full on in the face while walking the dog. Because they don't look like guns, I'm pretty comfortable with her taking them around the neighborhood, but if they looked more like squirt guns, I'd reserve for the backyard (we're black, for context).

We bought some at Costco this year for the first time ever.

With no pool, we will be spending a lot of time in our front and back yard with the hose and the sprinklers this year. We are okay with it. FWIW, we are big gun safety/control supporters and do not own any guns, nor did we let our kids ever play with realistic toy guns. They are older now (late elementary) and we feel confident in the values we have instilled in them about guns and violence. They really do just see the guns as a toy and fun way to get wet and they can stay away from their friends while doing it. They've already has a couple of rounds with the neighbor kids and had a blast!
