I’m curious, OP, what do you think of the hundreds and thousands gathering all over the country for protests? Is that okay because they are outside and some have masks?

Those protests really trigger you. What are you REALLY more worried about spreading rapidly: corona or anti-racism?

OP here, I’m guessing about 20 people - 10 couples. I guess what struck me is that all the photos were indoors and people had their arms around each other and were standing close in the photos - like we used to stand in all photos.

I’m not locked in my house, we’ve seen a few friends and neighbors on porches and such, it was just the indoors and closeness part that struck me.

Reckless, but there will be classrooms with 20+ students at a time in a couple months. DCUM thinks that density is completely safe.

Hopefully Tom Cotton sent in the military to shut it down.

Also going on in these parts of the country: increasing case counts, increasing numbers of hospitalizations.

This. I too feel like we're living in parallel universes - the people who are still super anxious and hardly leaving home, and others who are resuming normalcy. I'm not throwing indoor parties, but had a picnic w/ friends last weekend with about 15 people. We all certainly touched each other's things. We're all finding out that Covid is not really that bad for people who aren't elderly or vulnerable.

If you are really vulnerable, then take the precautions to protect yourself. The rest of the world is getting back to normal. I can't wait to go to the gym next week!

There are parallel universes. I noticed some people are deeply cautious and not leaving their homes often, and many more people going about there lives albeit with masks (or sometimes without one).

It is what it is. Will covid transmit more? Yes, of course. But there isn’t any other viable option. I just wish folks would wear masks.

+1

If it really was a dinner party, how many people could it possibly be?

I’ll also note that in reopened states (mine is) one of the recommendations has been to limit yourself to a small group and hang out with only that group for now...we are following that, pretty much. We hang out with 2 other families with similar aged kids. The kids play together during the week, we do bbq etc in the weekends. Not perfect but vastly preferable to constant mixing and large groups...

In a photo we’d look like a bigger group than we are, possibly- if any kids are included...

Then again it could huge party of fandoms, sure. But if you don’t know the whole story it is hard to say.

No social distancing, tagged a bunch of people, and a bunch of comment on how much fun it was.

I feel like this is a parrallel universe.
