With the birdbath please wait for someone who is an expert. We have a little pond nearby so birds have a short flight and I also avoid still water due to mosquitos near the house. If I were to buy a bird bath I would probably get one of those solar ones with a pump that
makes water to move. I know mosquitos do not like moving water so that might do the trick.

As to the birds, here is a bird guide for Maryland, if you are in MD, this will work but also might work for DC and VA since we are all connected here. Please try to locate your bird and let us know if yo find it. I am curious.

Two bird large feeders, two hummingbird feeders, 3 different kinds of seeds to attract all kinds of birds, bird bath a must. The wild rabbits love eating the sprouts from the seeds. My husband also puts piles of seeds on the driveway to attract the smaller birds and doves.

It's like a zoo at our house. I even found an abandoned kitten sleeping in our garage. No mother in sight. I really didn't want another one but he's ours now and I love him. We got him a playmate because my husband thinks everyone needs someone to love. Both will have a very good life.

Yes, wait till they leave but then research. I am not sure about the exact details, I think it varies by bird. Some reuse the nests others don't.

I think you'd be better off fighting for local laws that force harsh penalties for owners of cats who wander off their own property. Cats kill tons of wildlife, mostly birds.

If you have a kin heart please get a bird feeder, some feed and help tired birds to find food fast and easy.
They bring life and singing into your neighborhood. Many birds did not survived harsh winters of the past and our area has been depleted. Please help the birds to find easy feed and enjoy their presence.

Feeders can be bought on amazon, or other online venues, and also locally at Home Depot or Hardware store etc.

The feeder can be had for as little as 10 dollars and a huge bag of food some 20lbs or so can be had for some 15 dollars. Also birds feed is sold in any Pet store, Home Depot and Safeway and other supermarkets and hardware stores.

Birds will have a time and a chance to grow and accumulate the body fat essential to survive the winter.
