I think it will stay in there as long as camp is limited in size. Governor wants to make aureoles MD residents have options.

Hooped is accepting DC kids in MD camps.

Are you sure?? They have a link to the MD directive on their website, and said they plan to follow those rules.

Various DC friends have signed up with no rejection from Hooped. And they don't say anything on their site the way Calleva does. I think they are going to try to skirt the rules. Which doesn't bother me too much.

Sure but you run the risk they get busted and camp gets shut down....

To clarify, I'm not signing my kids up. But know others who are.

It doesn’t bother me but at the same time if the state finds out and shuts them down then everybody will be complaining and wanting refunds. To be on the safe side they should not be excepting out-of-state kids.

I'm curious how anyone would find out--like are MD state officials patrolling camps to find out of state residents? I can't imagine anyone would report a kid for being out of state based on license plates..

Has their plan received the necessary state clearance to open?

They might change that later as they move closer to stage 3, but no guarantee when that might be.

And no guarantee Montgomery County would even get there by August.

It is being discussed in other threads, I wouldn't get your hopes up that DC kids will be allowed later in the summer. There are only a handful of camps opening at all and the new ratios mean they can't take as many kids.

Is this only in Phase 1? We live in DC right on the MD line, and usually do a mix of DC and MD camps.

Do we think they may allow DC kids in later phases, or will this be all summer?

I saw this mentioned here- can anyone point me to the actual rule? I see some camps accepting DC kids and some not.
