I love my opengoaaal net. It’s so totally not regulation sized, but it does a good job of keeping the ball out of the neighbor’s pool!

Build a simple wall. Will be a fun project for the kids and they'll take pride in ownership of something they made. Just get some planks at homedepot and put it together. Paint it to make it more fun. Doesn't have to be relegation size. Kid will get 2x more playtime with a wall or rebounder than they do a goal.

We have had the GoSports collapsible ones (they come in different sizes) for about a year and they have held up well.

I agree with the folks that said about walls/rebounders.

It’s best that you take the kids to a place that has a brick wall that they can practice with. Some tennis courts has walls which works too. This is what I did with my DD as I got tired of chasing her balls.

practicing shot seems fun but not very important for beginner, you will end up spend most of the time retrieving the ball.

Ball control is way more important for beginner, a wall or rebounder will be more useful for that purpose.

If you have to get a goal and has space, open goal looks nice, at least the ball will not be all over the place.

I would definitely add a rebounder or a wooden wall. They will get tired of chasing their own shots. You can build one yourself.

PUGGs, KWiK goal, and TEKK rebounder/goal (convertible)

FORZA goals are nice too. PVC so more durable than alot of the other types. Easy to assemble and they come in lots of different sizes. Just google it to find sellers of that equipment. Order online and it will show up in a few days.

Bownet goals are the way to go. They come in many sizes and are very durable.

They are both brand new to the game. DD(11) is interested in playing rec soccer this fall and DS is 3, so new to sports in general. I know this is such a large age gap, but they love running around and kicking the ball I purchased as a Christmas present for DD. DD wants a goal so she can practice shots, is there any particular kind/type you'd recommend?
