A really kind note and/or something directly from your child will go way farther in personalizing it than some cutesy monogrammed junk.

The personal aspect of it can be the drawing or card your child makes to go with the gift card.

Yeah I don’t even have an Instagram account. This literally never crossed my mind. Must be something you would do though to suggest it.

Add a gift card and this is a fantastic gift.

We gave custom mugs with their names on them, a few cake pops and a gift card. We put a personalized note in each one.

I understand the logic of cash and gift cards. Trust me, my go to gift is cash. I actually don’t even like gift cards because they can be misplaced. I go to present this cash and a note. However, you have to admit that however practical cash or a gift card are, these gifts are not personal. So I am actually trying to put together a personal gift. Also I think it’s stupid that people are saying would you like tissues as a gift. It’s not just tissues. I would be getting them a lunch tote, as well as some hard to find items, like hand sanitizer and Lysol. And then some thing sweet so not everything is just super practical. I understand that cash is king, but in this specific circumstance, I don’t feel like it’s a personal enough thank you gift. We’ve typically done a card and a gift card to Amazon or Target. We choose places that are really broad in what they sell, so that hopefully they can find something they like.

Agree with pp. Woukd you like tissues as a gift? Give them a gift card so they can buy whatever they would like. They have been working hard during these times. Show appreciation by giving them something that all allows them to treat themselves. Please, no tissues.

I would help highly recommend cash or a gift card and a small thoughtful inexpensive additional item or just a note. Teachers make so little and with so many laid off right now, it seems like every teacher is just one unenrollment away from unemployment.

Give them cash or a gift card. Tissues are not a present. A note or card would be a lovely addition.

Cash and a note!

Our wonderful teachers are coming to our home to say goodbye (outside) and give a present to our 5 yo. We are crushed that our year ended like this. My kiddo has a lot of special needs, and these are his resource teachers. We want to give them something but what? Normally I give cash for holidays and teacher appreciation but this is goodbye and I want it to be more meaningful. Maybe just a note?
