Had no idea that kid are allowd at all, and that there are so many location near DC that provide he service.

I think one of the bigger problem is a plumbing out there.. with younger kids.. you know.. they really want to go when they really can not as when they are quater mile up in the air... there might be a solution to this but it probably "Depends"...

They requested specific books and video games, which they will receive as well, if they continue to work hard until the last day of school. They both have large projects due, so I don't want any slacking.

No. No ice-cream in the covid. Not until it is done and over officially. The ice-cream in theory can be made before there were rules and precautions in place and virus loves freezing temps. So hard pass.. unless home made, then yes.

Trip to the library, sometimes a trip to ice cream shop.

My kids are older now (MS and HS) so they're not really interested in doing anything special beyond tossing the contents of their course binders in recycling.

But when they were in early ES we'd often get ice cream on the last day, and with until my older child finished 6th grade we went out to lunch with her BF and her mom, who is a good friend of mine (once our younger kids were also in ES they came along as well).

not this year.

One of the things I am not good at is building family traditions. I get sad seeing stuff on Facebook where the mom or dad has planned a celebration with balloons, streamers, signs, whatever.

It's not my nature to do stuff like that, but I'd like to learn.

Do you have any end of school year traditions with your family? What are they?
