I'm leaving my current job after 20 years because of my boss. I'm sending her my resignation letter via email. So glad I will not have to see her face again.

I asked my boss to meet up socially distanced and told her face to face. I then made sure to facetime with the next level of supervisors with whom I was also close.

Get on the phone with your bosses, then with HR. Then send an email confirming.

Verbal over the phone either through voice or facetime. I teleworked for 12 years. My boss was in Cleveland. I talked with him over the phone.

Wow, I'll make sure not to hire you. What you are doing is really unethical.

I called my manager and then called my division head. I then sent an email to hr. My last day was fairly uneventful. I took a week off and start my new job Monday. They whole thing was fine

I FaceTimed my manager so we could talk face to face. It seemed like the next best thing to in person.

I just called my manager. She was nasty and upset. She didn't require an email or anything in writing though with my resignation.

Just call your boss during business hours and explain the situation. This should properly be done in person, but that is not going to happen this time, of course. It's probably easier to do on the telephone, anyway.

How do you give your two weeks notice while both you and your boss are working remotely? This is the first time I have to do this in a professional setting, so I want to make sure I do it right so I don’t burn bridges.
