I think the point is that you don't want it to start drying without product.

I bought directly from Diva's website and have not had any issues with the products at all. I'm becoming more and more suspicious of things on Amazon - quality is often bad, descriptions and reviews are fake and I also think there are plenty of fake/knock off products.

I use 100% Deva, and don't wash my hair every day, even with no-poo. I wash maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but condition every day.

Agree with pp about technique and product. I do use a micro-fiber towel after applying prodict, as my hair is long and I need it off the back of my neck and shirt!

OP here. This is the product I use along with the spray for anti-frizz. It’s not enough for my hair anymore. But that could be because diva Curl has destroyed my hair. The best shampoo and conditioner combination I have ever found for my hair is the harmon face values lovely curls. I use non-lathering shampoo and the super creamy conditioner. It’s supposed to be a diva curl knock off, but it works so much better. The issue I’m having is that it’s not listed on bed Bath and beyond’s website. Normally I would’ve just been able to go into the store and purchase it. But since the stores been closed I have not been able to. It’s also not for sale online anywhere else. So since we’ve been staying at home I’ve been using diva curl and my hair is an absolute mess. I’m also almost out of the Shea moisture, I thought I would look around to see if there was anything else that might help bring my combo 3A/3B hair.

I have same hair type. I use Intelligent Nutrients PureLuxe shampoo and conditioner. I shampoo daily and this is a gentle line.

Kinky Curly curling custard is my hands down favorite styling product. I use a 3 finger dip and gently scrunch or rake it in and air dry. I occasionally use Briogeo leave-in conditioning spray first.

FWIW, there has been a lot of internet chatter and possibly a class action lawsuit brewing about DevaCurl damaging hair and leaving it in terrible condition after prolonged use of their products. I don't know the validity, but I would stay away from their products.

I have mixed 3a/2c curls and find that what matters most is technique, rather than any specific product. Apply any leave-in, mousse, or gel evenly to soaking wet hair. Make sure you you use a good bit of product. Once your product is applied, either gently diffuse or air dry. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR HAIR again until it is 100% dry. At this point your hair will be crunchy from product. You get rid of the crunch by gently scrunching and fluffing the curls when your hair is 100% dry. That's it. You don't need to overthink it or spend tons of money on products. You can use a regular non-silicone containing conditioner as a leave-in, and cheap drugstore gel (again, no-silicone). Of course you can use spendier prodcuts, too, but I haven't seen a huge difference between them and the cheap stuff - it's all about applying to dripping wet hair and not touching it until its dry.

I have thick curly hair (big ringlet curls). I use Diva Curl shampoo and conditioner. My hair is very dry so I use their leave in conditioner as well. I’ve not been a fan of their styling products, so I’ve been using sheamoisture styling products. I’m not crazy about them either anymore. I’m looking for something that gets rid of the frizz and helps with the curls without making my hair feel crunchy. Has anyone tried Cocunat products? If you have fairly curly hair (but not tight curls) what products work for you?
