If you are putting this much thought into this text to the guy, you're more into him than a casual fling.

My guess is that guys responding to OP are saying go for it and women are saying it's too desperate.

I think it's flirty and fine.

Sounds desperate. Just say Happy Birthday and looking forward to seeing him again soon

I don't think it is passive aggressive, but is too wistful and negative! I'd just say, "I wish I could give you a birthday present!" with the devil or flame emoji

I would remove the word "love" entirely from the text. Entirely.

A little desperate just because we're in the middle of a pandemic. He might get a big head that he's so impressive in bed you're willing to risk COVID.

Accompany the text with a pic of your boobs and it's perfect.

The first one is just fine...ask him about how he is doing when closing the outreach.

I haven't seen my FWB in 10 weeks because of quarantine. Usually I see him twice a month. His birthday is coming up soon and I thought I'd text him to wish him a good day and then say, "I'd love to give you a birthday present right now, but I guess it's not to be," or something like that. "Birthday present"= use your imagination. Would receiving a text like that be awesome ... or not? I have to admit I'd love to be able to bed him right now, given the loneliness of lockdown. But I don't want to seem desperate. I just want to seem light and teasing. Thoughts? I don't anticipate seeing him most of the summer because I'm going away for six weeks at the beginning of July.

And yes, I know I've overthought this.

TIA
