I'm a big fan of sports but getting rid of these nichey, country-club sports that no one cares about is absolutely the right move. Why the heck did Brown have an equestrian varsity team in the first place? But even though it cut 11 varsity sports, it added 2 sailing varsity teams so dumbness offsets some wise moves.

They did have too many varsity teams though - like 4th most of any college in the country. The Athletics Department has been an afterthought for years, and it shows in their teams' dismal winning percentages (and attendance)
